Endrick worried Real Madrid game time will affect World Cup call-up

Endrick says that he is “worried” that his lack of playing time at Real Madrid could see him miss in a place in Brazil's 2026 World Cup team.

The young person announced himself on the world stage by scoring his first international goal in a friendly against England in March 2024, shortly before he signed for Madrid.

However, since he came to Los Blancos at Los Blancos, he has difficulty strengthening a place under Carlo Ancelotti, making only four starts in all competitions, where none of those in LaLiga comes.

In general, he played for 496 minutes during 28 performances and scored six goals, better than his 4.72 expected goals (XG).

As such, he was initially omitted from the team of Dorival Junior for the international break of March, although he was called upon to replace Neymar, forced to stop by stopping.

With one goal in his head, Endrick admitted that he is worried that his lack of playing time could influence his chances of playing during next year's tournament.

“To be honest, which goes a lot through my mind, is that I am afraid not to be on the World Cup 2026,” he said in an interview with Romario.

“I am worried … because it is my dream to be at the World Cup. It is even difficult to talk about that.

“I want to help Brazil to win the sixth world cup.”

Endrick was an unused replacement when Brazil beat Colombia 2-1 on Thursday in their world cup qualification, with Argentina next Tuesday before the Selecao.
