England 2 Albania 0: Myles Lewis-Skelly and Harry Kane get Thomas Tuchel’s Three Lions reign off to flying start

It was not exactly the exciting white ride we were promised by Thomas Tuchel.

But England left on their journey to the United States with one goal by debutant Myles Lewis-Skelly and one of their record goalkeeper Harry Kane to see a limited Albania.

The 18-year-old left back of Arsenal got the Tuchel era in the hallway with a bang by becoming the youngest player in England ever to score on his debut-a ballsy selection rewarding the new German manager.

Lewis-Skelly is a modern full-back, which often appears in the attacks of midfield positions and shows excellent industry and footwork.

But in the hour of football between their two goals, England roamed and showed some well -known problems.

Phil Foden was anonymous on the right and still doesn't look like he can fit in the same team as Jude Bellingham, whose brilliant assistant Lewis-Skelly's dreamy start of Lewis-Skelly.

Marcus Rashford, selected after only one Premier League start on loan at Aston Villa, was a willing runner with little end product.

While Dan Burn, the other debutant of Tuchel, was not convincing in the defense despite crashing a header against the bar shortly before the break.

If Gareth Southgate had still been in charge, the nation would have yielded everything.

But then that is the problem with tournament -qualifying campaigns.

England will compete against a succession of teams who will pack their defense and play with little ambition and nothing will mean very much by the time the men from Tuchel come to the World Cup in America.

With the only two friendly matches this year planned against Senegal and Wales, England is not a real elite opposition to make for at least 12 months.

This was, Tuchel and his team hoped the first step on a glorious trip to a World Cup final in New Jersey in July.

And the new boss wants us all cheerleading on his bandwagon. Good luck with that.

But after talking about boldness and positivity, Tuchel selected a daring and positive line-up to Lewis-Skelly and man-of-the moment Burn, and remembered Rashford.

With a rear four and a positive -looking selection in midfield, it felt that the much mentioned Southgate 'handbrake' had been sent to the Brekers.

Yet England had bent Albania 5-0 here under Southgate four years ago.

The most successful three Lions boss in half a century was not as negative as history now rewrites him.

England started quietly, dominated the ball, but did little with it until the 19th minute when the moment of Lewis-Skelly arrived.

It was a moment of instinctive sparkle from Bellingham that created it, the Real Madrid dropped deeply, turned his husband and took out five defenders with one sniping axle that Lewis-Skelly was on the overlap.

The Arsenal -child only needed one touch for nutmekeger Thomas Strakosha and ignites the Tuchel era.

Kane soon fell deeply and pinged a sweet pass on the chest of the on-Rushing Rashford, but he was unable to disturb the keeper.

Soon there was a panic in the defense of England then Burning an attempt to clear up Qasim Laci's Cross and the ball ran at the top of the bar before the large Newcastle defender Pickford challenged the same ball.

Tuchel had spoken the importance of the players of England all week. And there was no example of this.

It took 34 minutes for the first paper plane to reach the Wembley grass mat, but Bellingham quickly stopped, racing to Rashford's browsing, but his shot blocked by Hildosha.

England was largely not convincing, but Kane was everywhere, several tackles and Bellingham won the creative spark.

Foden was anonymous on the right wing, while Curtis Jones was enthusiastic with little end product.

Five minutes before the break, Kyle Walker shot on the right and cut back for Bellingham, whose Duikkop was blocked by Straoksha, the follow -up effort of Kane bent.

Then, from a Declan Rice Corner, Burn jumped at an altitude of about 12 feet and Nootte against the bar – so close to a second Wembley goal in the five -day room during this ridiculous week of him.

Early in the second half, the Great Geordie Giraffe was lucky to escape at least a yellow card for starting myrto Azuni in the head at the next one.

Lewis-Skelly appeared in Central to start a decent attack in England, Rashford Haring Vooruit, but lost his foot before Kane went wide from a Bellingham Cross.

Albania -boss Sylvinho sent the Armando Broja and the Leninge Everton soon roasted Burn for Pace twice without succeeding in threatening Pickford.

And Ezri Konsa – demonstrably the best player in England – soon had to make an excellent interception to deny Jasir Asani a clear view of the goal.

Tuchel reacted with his first three subs – Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers for Rashford, Foden and Jones, who had set the world on fire.

And soon Rice curled a cross to Kane, who picked the ball out of the air with his right foot and then took a second to compose himself before he went home second place in 78 minutes.

It was the 70th goal of Kane for England and if they want to rule the world in the United States next summer, he and Bellingham will have to run the show.
