England boss Thomas Tuchel reveals why Man United star Harry Maguire was really left out of his first Three Lions squad

Thomas Tuchel has opened exactly why he did not call Harry Maguire for his recent team in England.

The first camp of Tuchel as the three Lions boss is now over and has a perfect start to his term of office and English boss with victories over both Albania and Latvia in the World Cup qualification.

Of course a few eyebrows were erected when the former boss of Chelsea and Bayern Munich mentioned his selection, in particular about the inclusions of Jordan Henderson and Kyle Walker.

But an excellent thing about the Gareth Southgate era, Maguire, was particularly omitted, despite the fact that Tuchel emphasized the having so much time with those in his plans possible prior to the World Cup of the following summer.

The former captain of Manchester United has struggled with a calf injury, from which his return is indeed expected, although Tuchel has revealed that that was not the reason for his omission.

“I spoke with all the players who were not on the list to give my direct feedback about my decision,” Tuchel said, when he was asked about Maguire.

“It was a close decision. We chose Marc Guehi and Ezri Konsa. At the moment I think they are a bit in a better rhythm and deserve to be with us. Two right-wing drivers in central defense and the rest were left-wing legs in the middle of the defense.

“The second reason was that Harry was not fit when we nominated. It was believed that he could play, but I didn't want to take the risk of nominating the player we had to take care of [with] … constantly must assess whether he can follow a full training session or half a training session.

'We did the same with Reece James and only because of the feedback that he could do in full session was the reason we brought him to the camp.

“Harry knows that. It is not that easy for him in the club at the moment. He plays three after it, but he is a top professional and he is very important for England.

“He took it incredibly well. He wrote to me messages to wish us good luck and you see what a person he is. He is a chief executive and he will always be contrary. '

Maguire has been one of the most consistent and important English players in recent years and repeatedly shook a bad club form to shoot for the national team.

With Southgate he was crucial for the three lions improved versions at major tournaments, so that he only failed the most recent European championship campaign after an injury on the eve of the tournament.

The inclusion of Dan Burn in the most recent team still sets up an obstacle for Maguire, with the Newcastle defender who can play Back of Center Back in the left, as he did against Albania during his debut.

Similarly, the impressive form of Konsa at the center of the back makes the fact that he can also play on both sides of the defense, his versatility makes him a crucial player for Tuchel.

Similarly, the fact that his club side, Man United, urgently needs a series of form to increase the pressure on Ruben Amorim's position in the club.

United has admitted 40 times in the competition this season, and their 12 defeats in the top flight make it difficult for all defenders in the club to be thrown into a positive light.

Maguire has 64 performances to his name for the three lions, as well as seven goals, and was considered one of the leading figures in the dressing room under Southgate.
