England: Myles Lewis-Skelly, Marcus Rashford impress for Thomas Tuchel but Phil Foden dilemma remains

After Thomas Tuchel's back-to-back victories in his first camp as an English boss, we choose the players who impressed the world cup qualifications and caught a claim for a major role in his project and those who have a challenge …

Lewis-Skelly seizes his chance

Myles Lewis-Skelly was without a doubt one of the big hits of this international break and took the England fold with the same confidence and style if he has the Premier League and Champions League.

From his debut goal against Albania to dictating the piece from the center of the park against Latvia, the 18-year-old has shown his quality and fearlessness. Wounded pair of Lewis Hall and Luke Shaw, together with Ben Chilwell – a Tuchel favorite at Chelsea – will have ambitions to make their claim. But Lewis-Skelly has seized the place for now.

Rashford has Tuchel's Trust

Marcus Rashford was impressed on Friday and caught some criticism from Tuchel, but his admission to the team for these games was proof that the three Lions boss supports him – and his starting role against Latvia underlined it. The attacker has repaid faith in that second game.

The signs on Monday were that he had listened to the words of his new boss, with more intention to run to his marker and create a game-high six chances. There was no goal to emphasize the point – he also has to score for Aston Villa in nine games, despite four assists – but his rejuvenation is clear and apparent, as with Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson, Tuchel will count on his Big game experience in this project.

James marks his return in style

It is two and a half years ago that Reece James started for England for the last time. He marked his return in style and brought a brilliant free kick in the upper corner for his first goal for his country, in the midst of a version that showed his quality on the ball. Later in the game there was also a nice sliding tackle.

With Kieran Trippier withdrew from England, Kyle Walker – a starter against Albania – now 34 and Trent Alexander -Arnold who missed this camp with injury, James had the chance to show his former Chelsea boss that he can now reach his best levels. He is now fit again. There were proof of this.

The Fodendilemma continues

Phil Foden wiped the Player of the Year Awards last season. But although he started every English game in the euro, his Sub-PAR versions for his country went on and after he was gesturing against Latvia, there must now be questions about whether he will be a leading figure for Tuchel on the World Cup.

FODEN – not of species for Man City largely of this campaign – has only four goals in its 45 caps and has not succeeded in having recorded a clear role in the team.

Jarrod Bowen took his place against Latvia and was usually lively without cutting before he was replaced by goal scorer Ebereechi Eze, who brought his own spark.

But Bukayo Saka is nailed in Right -Wing, Bellingham and Cole Palmer compete for the no. 10 roll -where FODEN went through Latvia -and the threat of Rashford on Flank, or Anthony Gordon who runs left on the left seems to be a Tuchel -preface.

As always, the FODEN CONUNDRUM seems to be resolved as always.

Center-back photo unclear

Tuchel built up his success at Chelsea for defense and although he has played more freely flowing football with people like Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, there is no doubt that he would like to build a resilient basis to fall out. But his center -back photo is currently unclear -not that these opening opponents caused many problems.

The brilliant 10 days from Dan Burn unexpectedly brought him into the frame and he earned his recording on his debut against Albania. That then became contrast with a nerve moment for Marc Guehi, whose mixture with Jordan Pickford Latvia almost handed over a shock goal, while the Londoner called the ball out of the game after the break.

But Guehi is at the top of many center-back statistics among English defenders in the Premier League and showed the euros that he can be trusted.

John Stones, when it is suitable again, will be the most important competition that the right-sided center-back place that was filled by Ezri Konsa this month, while Harry Maguire and Jarrad Branthwaite Guehi and burns will probably challenge to fill the left-sided place in the middle of a rear four. Levi Colwill and Jarell Quansah will have been frustrated not to get a kick about these two games.

How Tuchel sees that it will only appear when Southgate's loyal stones and Maguire are fit and available.

Rogers adds thrust next to Bellingham

Morgan Rogers played on Monday as one of the two no. 8s with Jude Bellingham and the couple came together well, broke in the box with or without the ball and repeatedly threatening, despite congestion in and around the Latvia area. They touched double digits for shots between them, Rogers were at the top of the dribbling grant and played in Declan Rice to help Harry Kane's goal.

With Lewis-Skelly who stepped out of the left, a more adventurous midfield balance was hit by the person who made a record number of the first half of the first half against Albania. Would that system work against better opposition? Could they give the required check against a team such as Spain? It is a question that will have to wait.

But with Curtis Jones it tried on Friday, Jordan Henderson used the bank, and Kobbie Mainoo, Adam Wharton, Conor Gallagher and James Maddison under that in the Recking, Tuchel has a variety of options and his midfield plan will certainly evolve for a formula to “Premier League.”

Captain Kane closed herself

There were calls for Harry Kane to drop during the euros. There is no chance under Tuchel. The captain and record scorer of England started this international break and said he thought that his goals from the exploits were undervalued. Perhaps that applies to the wider audience, but Kane is a fixed favorite of his former Bayern Munich -Baas.

Two games, two goals – Kane, who hit his career -best figures with Tuchel in the Bundesliga during his season, does not go anywhere. His Understudy, Dominic Solanke, did not get Gametime for a minute.
