Enzo Fernandez fell to floor with dizziness due to ‘dangerous’ heat at CWC

Enzo Fernandez revealed that he fell on the floor with dizziness because of the 'dangerous' heat at the club World Cup.

The vice-captain of Chelsea claims that he had to take emergency when extreme temperatures felt unwell during a match.

The renewed 32-team competition from FIFA has been chased by worrying about the timing of the event during the summer in the US and afternoon kick-offs that match European TV schedules.

Argentinian Fernandez said: “The truth is that the heat is incredible. Recently I got a little dizzy in the game. I had to throw myself on the floor because I was really dizzy.

“The truth is that playing in that temperature is very dangerous. It is very dangerous.

“And, of course, for the spectacle, for the people who come to enjoy the stadium, and for the people who look at home, the speed of the game is not the same.

“Everything feels very slow. We hope that they will change the schedule next year, so that it is a spectacle and football is still enjoyable and attractive.”

Heat waves in the early stages of the World Cup club hit 39 degrees while Chelsea was located in Philadelphia.

Baas Enzo Maresca claimed that it was 'almost impossible' to train during the day.

Large -scale fog -fans constantly spray the players and coaches in the dugouts with cold water while competitions are going on.

The Italian side that Juventus claimed that ten of their players asked to be replaced by the extreme heat.

Chelsea's round of 16 knock -out competition victory on Benfica was stopped for almost two hours due to the lightning of summer storms.

Next summer, the US is organizing the 48-Team International World Cup when the weather will be almost the same.

It is not good to let a controversial player like Fernandez go with his complaints for so long, there is no good look for the organizing body.

Many players have said that it is too hot during the day to play their full potential. Some have said it should not be an excuse.

Fernandez's teammate Levi Colwill said: “Everyone plays in the heat, so we can't apologize on our side. We just have to handle it.”

Fernandez, 24, was part of the Argentina side that won the World Cup 2022 in Qatar – when it was switched to December to use cooler temperatures during the day.

Chelsea will end an impressive season by adding the Club World Cup to the Conference League trophy that they won in May -if they can disturb the opportunities and beat Favorites Paris Saint -Germain on Sunday.

Fernandez wears the bracelet of the captain when the first-choice skipper Reece James is not available.

He said: “A few years ago I arrived at the club and became a captain, and that means I am doing something good. I am also the coaching staff that selected me is very grateful.

“The club has put their confidence in me and today the responsibility is of course to train well every day, to be there for my teammates and always to give my best.

“I like to play in the final. I was lucky to win most of them. I'm going to enjoy it. It's not like that in the World Cup, but it's fun.

“The truth is that I have achieved some very nice things on a personal level, but being in a hotel for a month has not been easy at all. Enjoying time with family when I can, is very important to me.”

There is good news for Chelsea, because it seems that the most important midfielder Moises Caicedo has recovered from an ankle problem that forced him at the end of the semi -final victory over Fluminense.

Fernandez said: “Today we have just started preparing; we were comfortable yesterday.

Moises is fine. He will definitely train. He is already preparing.

We now have a training session and we are preparing to do our best. “
