Enzo Le Fee is available for the Sunderland match against West Bromwich Albion, live on Sky Sports, after having missed six weeks due to injuries.
The central midfielder, signed in January on loan of Roma in one of the most controversial championship agreements of the window, suffered a hamstring injury against Hull City in Sunderland's only home defeat of the season on 22 February.
But Le Fee is now contrary to Saturday's Lunch match at Play – Off Rivals West Brom – Live on Sky Sports+.
Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris says that they will be careful with Le Fee on his return prior to the last seven games of the competition season and a probably play-off schedule.
Le Fee has a large part of the season on the left wing Deputten, but can finally play in his favorite role in Central-Midfield with Romain Mundle and Brighton-bound Tommy Watson Fit after his return for the international break.
“I hope we will see him in midfield, because this is his best position,” said Le Bris. “We will try to connect the other midfielders now.”
Le Fee once scored and set up another in eight performances for Sunderland since he arrived from Roma.
Sunderland, who hopes to return to the Premier League after eight years, is fourth in the table and 15 points free from the sixth -placed West Brom for Saturday's game.
Analysis: Le Fee Return a game change for Le Bris
Le Fe Fee's calm weak off the field during the break versus Hull told a story that didn't spot much. He injured his hamstring earlier in half, but played and somewhat limited. Fans were stunned to see him removed and wondered if it was a mistake.
He had started every game since he had registered until that point, after he had marked at Roma only 10 times in his first six months. This caught up with him. But he is back now. And for the first time able to play with Mundle.
Until now, Le Fee has mainly played on the left wing, not his preferred position. Yet his quality seemed to take the central areas that he is used to.
There was a moment in his debut against Burnley. He received the ball in his own half and let himself roll for him, act well past Connor Roberts, before he drove the left flank and with a ball with the outside of his boot who wrapped around the Clarets defense and found Wilson Isidor, who could only shoot wide.
He wears an average of 4.28 progressive (89th percentile), 2.67 in the last third (89th percentile), 3.08 fits in the final third (90th percentile) with 0.28 expected Supported Doelen (96th percentile) per 90.
His deception was also shown defensively, with 2.94 tackles (96th percentile) and 1.07 interceptions (96th percentile); He embraced the aggressive off-the-ball style of Le Bris.
In a central role, Le Fee will have skill, pace and power for him with Jobe Bellingham, Patrick Roberts and Mundle.
Le Bris, the man who brought Le Fee to the French club Lorient, says that Central Midfield is “his best position” and he plans to restore him in that role.
He added: '' With Enzo we have another option, a different playing style, perhaps different connections, perhaps, for example, we can open the rotation of midfield. '' '
In addition to Dan Neil (captain), Chris Rigg and Bellingham, Sunderland have four Elite Center-Midfield options for the play-offs. And come May, Le Fee is perhaps the biggest game changer of all.
