Enzo Maresca’s latest comments infuriate Chelsea fans AGAIN

The fans of Chelsea were left angry by Enzo Maresca after he doubled the current position of the club after their early FA Cup exit.

Maresca risked indignation of Blues fans with his comments after their 2-1 defeat by Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The result extended the domestic trophy of Chelsea, with their last triumph in the FA Cup in 2018.

“If there is something good after a defeat, it is that we can concentrate on the Premier League and the Conference League,” said Maresca after the defeat, which led to some fans claiming that the Italian misses a 'winners' mentality.

The blues record the seagulls again on Friday evening and Maresca doubled on his comments and insisted that his side is not ready to compete on all fronts.

“They are 100 percent fair and one hundred percent correct,” he said about the supporters. 'I grew up watching Chelsea winning games and competitions, but this Chelsea is not the same as that.

'The reason why I said this is because we are not ready to participate in four games in one season at the moment. So we were completely unhappy after the game because we like to win games, but as I said, if there is something positive, we can concentrate on the two competitions we have now.

'And it's normal for fans when they have seen their club titles, titles, titles win. It is normal for you to respond this way. Our goal, our duty, is to bring this club to win or compete in four competitions, but we are not ready at the moment. '

Chelsea fans have again made Maresca's comments, where some went to social media to call him.

“You are complicit in IT Mate,” wrote a fan in response to Maresca who claims that Chelsea is not the club they once were.

Another said: “Only apologizing … You are not suitable for coaching Chelsea … the club is bigger than you.”

A third posted: 'Walgustus negative manager, imagine that a top manager said all these negative things about where Chelsea will end! He will then say that the top half will be a good season !! '

'Seeing Maresca's quotes makes me feel sick. The clubs full of losers man, 'a fourth placed on X.

Another Chelsea fan added: 'I can't stand this manager. Take it out. '

Chelsea fans also made comparisons between the comments of Maresca and Thomas Tuchel, who took the opposite attitude during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel said in 2021: 'I am here to win titles. I am here to win games and as a result to win titles. This is what I demand of myself, so why should we say something else that we want to win in five years or in two years or three years. This is the moment. '

Chelsea is released five points from the fifth placed Manchester City with a victory in the Amex, with the side also in the Conference League.

Asked if he is convinced that the club will return to their earlier levels, Maresca continued: 'Absolutely, yes. This is our goal. In the next five or 10 years this club can undoubtedly compete.

'There are clubs that have been together for three, four or five years, but they are still struggling.

'Why would Chelsea win the Premier League after six months, end top four or win four games? Why?'
