Former Manchester United coach Rene Hake has reflected on his short time at Old Trafford.
Hake, 52, joined Erik ten Hag last summer as part of a coaching overhaul when the Dutchman was given a new contract despite speculation over his future.
Hake left his role as manager of Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles to move to United, but he only stayed at the club for four months.
The 52-year-old left along with the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy and goalkeeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar when Ruben Amorim arrived as Ten Hag's replacement, with the Portuguese taking his trusted staff with him to England.
Hake posted a heartfelt farewell message to the club last week and in an interview with Dutch AD he looked back further on his time at Old Trafford and talked about what life is like under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
“I don't hold any grudges,” he said. “I had great interactions with the players, staff and everyone involved. I personally made it a point to say goodbye to everyone, to ensure a positive ending.
'I wasn't there long enough to really judge the direction of the club, but what I felt was a deep desire to be a force again.
'To recapture the winning culture of the Ferguson era, combined with the culture of Ineos, United's new co-owner, which is successful in other sports.'
Hake also discussed his experiences working with several United stars including Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.
However, the 52-year-old had special praise for Casemiro, despite the Brazilian receiving a lot of criticism in recent times.
'With Casemiro I often had the feeling that he had an instinct for the game. When it really comes down to it, he has this sixth sense.
“He can anticipate what's going to happen on the field.”
Hake's comments come after he posted a farewell message to United last weekend as he prepared for the next chapter of his coaching career.
“It has been a great experience serving as assistant manager of Manchester United and although it has ended sooner than I would have liked, I leave with nothing but good feelings about this great football club and its brilliant fans,” the Dutchman wrote.
'I would like to thank Erik ten Hag for giving me this opportunity, and all the players and staff for the strong bond and cooperation during this period.
“We tried so hard this season to get ourselves on track and we felt like we could get there, but that's football.
“Now it's time for me to rest and recharge for the next challenge, while I wish everyone at Manchester United the best of luck for the future.”
Meanwhile, United have won just one of their four Premier League games since Amorim took charge, and they return to action on Sunday with a highly anticipated Manchester derby against arch-rivals City.
