Christian Eriksen has accepted that he will leave Manchester United when his contract ends at the end of the current season.
The DANE confirmed that United still has to approach him about his stay in Old Trafford, with only three months left from the campaign.
Eriksen came to United in July 2022 with a free transfer on a three -year contract after leaving Brentford and enjoyed an impressive debut campaign before an injury stopped it.
He has made 99 performances for the club in all competitions, seven goals and 17 assists in obtaining.
He played this period 27 times in all competitions, with eight target involvement (four goals, four assists), the fifth best count among his teammates.
“Nothing told me, and if I don't do that, I assume the collaboration will stop,” Eriksen told TV Sport.
“That is how I interpret it. Everyone knows that the contract ends, so I think there is only one way.
“I have come to terms with finding a new club. Where it will be, I don't know yet, but I am free on the market and I have never tried that before.
“I was also free after the cardiac arrest, but it was a slightly different situation.”
Although Eriksen is not sure where his next step will be, he does not expect to return to his home country.
“I still have the feeling that I have left a few good years abroad,” he added, also to exclude a switch to MLS in the potential finishing phases of his career.
“In terms of football, I don't have the feeling that I am about to go home to Denmark and want to play in the Superliga. The family will not travel that far.
“I have not seen anything I really want to try, so I will see what comes to mind and what suits me and the family.”
