Erin Blanchfield admits that emotions have gotten better from her in Post-Puc Vegas 107 comments

It was a disastrous end of what a bizarre fight week was on UFC Vegas 107. Barber was brought to a local hospital after a backstage of an attack, but shared a positive health update on Sunday.

After the cancellation of the UFC Vegas 107, Blanchfield went into Barber and called her 'super unprofessional' after a medical fear had forced her from their planned headliner. Fans were divided over the hard answer from Blanchfield, with a number of questions how to reproduce hairdressers after she was admitted to the hospital.

In a recent performance on the Ariel Helwani show, Blanchfield clarified her harsh comments after Barber's medical problems appeared after UFC Vegas 107.

“She cannot have control over the medical problems she has, so that is not unprofessional. I meant more the weight miss on Friday and the way she approached it,” explained Blanchfield.

“I believe she was offered more time to reduce weight and not, missed weight and then still acted as she was at the weighting. So that's more what I meant to be unprofessional …[being unreliable] I am still standing, she withdrew from the first [fight] And now this one.

“I know she has problems, but if she has those serious medical problems, I wouldn't want to be linked to her anymore,” Blanchfield continued. “I was the moment she was entangled herself, she probably has some problems … And she probably should have been withdrawn earlier, so that I would have had another opponent. Not being honest about her condition was not the right thing to do.”

Blanchfield predicted that Barber would not make it to fight Night in the weeks prior to UFC Vegas 107. The two fly weights had to collide in 2021 before Barber withdrew due to an injury.

Blanchfield was then asked about her refusal to be booked against Barber again, while the two flying weights continue with their career. Blanchfield also played in this attitude and clarified that she would be open to run back with Barber in the future if her activity level improves.

The next opponent of Valentina Shevchenko remains uncertain in the midst of Zhang Weili Fight Talks

As far as Shevchenko is concerned, she has repeatedly plagued a potential confrontation with UFC Strawweight champion Zhang Weili for her next flying weight defense. Natalia Silva is also firmly in the mix after her dominant victory over Alexa Grasso on UFC 315.

Shevchenko recently defended her flying weight of Manon Fiorot last month at UFC 315. She received the flightweight title by beating Grasso on UFC 306 last September.

Regarding the budding rivalry of Blanchfield and Barber, the first chapter will be on hold after UFC Vegas 107. But don't be surprised if the two young stars were booked against each other again later in their career.
