ESPN: Messi is considering moving to a more competitive competition for the World Cup
According to ESPN Argentina's Esteban Edul, the contract extension between Messi and Inter Miami has been won, and the player is considering another team before the World Cup.
The reporter stated that Messi told him on Friday that he is planning to play six months before the World Cup for another team, which will start in January next year.
Messi and Inter Miami originally prepared to expand the contract, but it has been put on hold for the time being. If he wants to go to a more competitive competition, that is certainly welcome. But it is not clear where he currently wants to go.
Messi signed a contract with Inter Miami in July 2023, which is valid until December 31, 2025.
