European football giants set to play Serie A game in Australia NEXT year

In what would be a historic first, AC Milan has the permission of the Italian football federation to organize a domestic league match against Serie A Rivals Como in Perth next year – but the relocation has made no impression on some football fans.

As it looks now, the game would clash with the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2026, to be performed on 6 February in the famous San Siro house of the club.

So the European football giants looked outside the square – and if the fixture continues, it would be the first time that a competitive Serie A match was played outside of Italy.

A number of supporters have closed the idea, with one that labels the daring suggestion 'pathetic'.

'How much will it cost? You make people laugh, pathetic, “said the fan.

“Who on earth would like to look in Australia (AC) Milan versus Como?, Asked another.

“Why don't we play Inter Milan and Juventus on the Gaza Strip,” a third suggested, firmly in the cheek.

AC Milan was recently in Western Australia and took on A-League Side Perth Glory in a pre-season conflict in HBF Park on July 31.

The wave in the class was quickly clear, with the Rossoneri won 9-0.

“The ease of the way they could score, we are disappointed about that, but it shows the quality they have,” said Perth Glory coach David Zdril.

'They can just kill you at any time. There is so much power and speed in every aspect of their game and we knew that. Seeing live was incredible.

“For us to see what the level abroad is, is a great learning experience.”

In the meantime, La Liga – the most important football division of Spain – liked Barcelona Atletico Madrid in Miami last year.

The idea was eventually fell due to time limitations.

And in 2019, Barcelona was also planning to organize a match against Girona in Miami, but the idea was deleted after vocal opposition of the Spanish football club and the Players' Union.

The Premier League has previously stated that it has no plans to play games abroad.
