Darwin Nunez could still leave Liverpool this summer, even though Napoli continued from the attacker, while one of their Series A -Rivalal conversations for the former Benfica star is introducing
AC Milan has contacted the representatives of Darwin Nunez while looking ahead a deal for the Liverpool. The Italian giants are said to have made the Uruguay International their top objective for the last weeks of the transfer window.
Nunez is generally expected to leave Anfield this summer and the arrival of Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz seem to have left him further in the pecking order of Arne Slot. Liverpool also retains an interest in Newcastle star Alexander Isak and has seen an offer for the Premier League striker.
If the Reds are successful in the countries of the Sweden, the position of Nunez seems to be even more untenable. But so far, Liverpool has not been able to find an agreement with any lovers for the signature of the former Benfica attacker.
Napoli focused their attention elsewhere after they could not find an agreement with the hierarchy of the Reds. Instead, Antonio Conte added Lorenze Lucca on his side of Udinese on loan, with an obligation to buy for the attacker for € 26 millon (£ 22.7 million).
But their series A-rivals can still offer Liverpool a chance to discharge Nunez, which they have signed in a deal worth £ 85 million including potential add-ons. Milan is known to make a serious attempt to offer Max Allegri a new attacker with Arnaud Kalimuendo, Dusan Vlahovic and Rasmus Hojlund on the shortlist next to Darwin, by Sky Sports in Italy.
The Reds -Spits, 26, did not play friendly against Milan in his side, but ran from the couch against Yokohoma FM days later. Nunez scored in the first two friendly matches of the summer team against Preston and Stoke City too.
The emphasis of Slot seemed to be on building the fitness of the attacker instead of life without considering him, after he had also unveiled the absence of Luis Diaz against Milan, was due to transfer speculation before he finally left.
“In the situation of Darwin, he trained very well and already played a few good games for us all this preseason,” said Last week. “He was injured, so we didn't want to take the risk.
“It was also the same with Wata (Endo)-the whole week trained with us, but we also didn't want to take a risk with him. It is part of the preseason, the boys have to go to Match Fitness and that is a thin balance, sometimes a thin line.”
A new range is also expected from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal claiming to have opened conversations with the player and his representatives with regard to a movement. But the only bid for Nunez so far is this summer from Napoli.
