Everton has agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after having rejected another bid for Southampton-wing player Tyler Dibbling.
The reimbursement for Dewsbury-Hall is an initial £ 25 million plus add-ons that could increase the total to somewhere in the £ 29 million region, with the midfielder being expected to undergo a medical one.
A new No. 8 is a priority for Everton -Baas David Moyes together with a defensive midfielder, with Leicester's Wilfried Ndidi a player they like.
Dewsbury-Hall only came to Chelsea last summer, after he had impressed the Leicester championship campaign and made 36 performances, but only started two Premier League matches.
Everton's offer for Dibonding was supposed to be worth an initial £ 35 million plus £ 8 million in add-ons, a significant increase in another of their bids of around £ 27 million.
Earlier in the year, Southampton had claimed that they would only be willing to sell the 19-year-old for £ 100 million, but their appreciation is considered £ 45 million.
It is still to be seen whether Everton will follow a different bid for Dibling, with Lyon's Malick Fofana another winger of them.
Dibling has left for another two years to his current contract with St Mary's and Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham and RB Leipzig have all shown interest in him earlier.
Moyes: Everton not ready for a new season – we need signing sessions
Last week Moyes admitted that the club is “not ready” to start the season due to a lack of signing sessions.
“We are not ready to perform well enough in this tournament [Premier League Summer Series]. We are not ready to start the Premier League season, “said Moyes.
'I'm not worried too much [by the results] Because I don't have the players I need and what I want. And clearly, we are against it from the start. We knew before we came [to the US] We would really rise. It would never be that we come here and win [games]. “
Speaking after Sunday's 2-2 draw with Manchester United in the last game of the Summer Series of the Premier League, Moyes said: “I think there will be deals next week, we will be much closer.
“But I have to say, I felt that four or five weeks ago too, but we quickly come close to the tick and we have to do some things.
“We have to do different additions, we know that, even for the figures. We have people in the team where we might want to get them on loan or do other things with them.
“We must generally allow to add to the team and we have to bring in some of the most important players quickly.”
