Carlos Alcaraz has completed a loan movement to Everton from Flamengo.
The in-shape Toffees have released nine points from the Premier League relegation zone after winning three consecutive games under David Moyes.
The boss of Everton wanted additions to the team in the winter window, with the need for reinforcement only increased when Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala were seriously injured in a 1-0 win in Brighton on January 25.
However, Everton could only get one deal over the line, with Alcaraz participating until the end of the season and the Toffees have an option to buy.
Alcaraz, 22, previously shown in the Premier League for Southampton, who participated in January 2023 in the Saints and his debut against Everton.
He scored four competition goals, but could not help Southampton to prevent relegation. After having impressed the championship in the first half of last season, Alcaraz joined Juventus on loan and played 11 times for the Serie A Giants.

Brazilian Champions Flamengo then paid a club record costs to sign the midfielder at the end of last season, although Alcaraz could not settle as a regular starter.
“We are happy that Carlos has agreed to get on loan until the end of the season,” said Moyes. “We have wanted to add players to the team to give us more depth, especially after the recent injuries we picked up.
“Carlos has Premier League experience, he is still young and we believe that he can bring some energy to the team that will help us between now and the end of the season.”
Everton is 16th in the Premier League, a place for Wolves, who were also busy late in the window.
After missing Tottenham about a deal for defender Kevin Danso, Wolves Nasser brought Djiga into the middle of Red Star Belgrade and added to their midfield options by signing Marshall Munetsi.
