Jarrad Branthwaite knows that Everton should also remain grounded despite their excellent form under David Moyes, although the defender wants to maintain the momentum against Manchester United.
Everton has taken 13 points of a possible 18 in the Premier League since Moyes Sean Dyche replaced in January.
A grouse 2-1 victory in Crystal Palace, with only 13 senior outfielders available, was another string to add to the arch of Moyes when Everton went on 30 points.
That leaves them above United, who have taken only 14 points since Ruben Amorim took the lead in November, prior to Saturday's collision in Goodison Park.
And Branthwaite in the center, which was disputed last summer as a potential united target, sees no reason why Everton cannot look up the table because they want to end the season strongly.
With the official website of Everton after Saturday's victory in Palace, Branthwaite said: “It is a brilliant feeling. I just buzz that we have the result. It is clear that we have not played at our best, but if you can win games if you don't play at your best, it's a good sign.
“I think it shows the momentum that we are building as a team, and I think we just have to stay grounded and continue to work hard every day and listen to the manager and see where that brings us.

'Everyone is confident. We had difficult spells in the season. I think we should enjoy this now, but we have to remember what it feels like.
“We have to stay that feeling after every game, so I think this means that this works hard every day on the training pitch to give ourselves the best possible chance with every game that comes.”
While United was associated with Branthwaite last year, she eventually drew another young defender in the form of Leny Yoro, who joined Lille.
And Yoro believes that United is on the right track under Amorim despite their inconsistent results.
“Naturally, [that] Is good for me, “Yoro said the media channels of United. “This is a good impression and I have to do what he says on the field. I have faith in this, maybe I am not 100% of my possibilities, but I know that I will be with time and experience. “
