Everton is said to want to sign the 19-year-old Liverpool wing player Ben Doak.
The former Celtic youngsters, who has been filled up six times by Scotland at senior international level, spent the 2024-25 season on loan in Middlesbrough.
Doak was impressed by the Riverside and produced seven assists and three goals in 24 championships.
Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town both tried to sign him in January, but Liverpool preferred that he completed his loan.
FA Cup winners Palace is still supposed to be interested in Doak, but they are now confronted with new competition from the cooles, according to Sky Sports.
However, it is also claimed that Liverpool was planning to assess the willingness of Doak for the first team of football in Anfield during their upcoming campaign for the season.
Doak has already made 10 senior performances for the Reds, all of whom come under former manager Jurgen Klopp.
He played in three Premier League matches and three Europa League matches, with his other four Liverpool performances all in the domestic cups.
Klopp once described Doak as a 'special boy' and added: “He is really confident and has something that nobody else really delivers, this kind of dribbling, this kind of uncomplicated courage, all these kinds of things.”
DOAK was mentioned last summer in the provisional Squadron of Scotland 28-man for Euro 2024, before he withdrew because of injury.
Scotland manager Clarke explained his decision to call DOAK and said: 'Ben has a lot of talent, he attracts your attention. Tempo is something that we do not have in abundance. He is something a bit different.
“I never had the chance to work closely with Ben. It just seemed the right opportunity to put him in, with the team up to 26 of 23. We will look at Ben and see how he does that. '
