The heavy management style of Sir Alex Ferguson is said to have troubled him with the law, according to former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
With the hairdryer treatment of the scot and the borderline intimidation of famous opponents and officials, the stories about Ferguson's strict approach were not lost through time.
But Evra, who won five Premier League titles and a Champions League at United under the legendary boss, has made jokes that the archaic methods of Ferguson may just be criminal when it is used today.
“If Ferguson was coaching now, he would probably end up in prison,” said the Frenchman on the SDS podcast. 'There is no way in which Ferguson would not be in prison with what he would do.
“You know how many players I saw crying because he gave them the hairdryer, boots threw – he was bad.”
