Former Barcelona, Getafe and Celta Vigo Vooruit Carles Perez was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after significant injuries due to a dog attack. The 27-year-old is recently a member of Aris Salonika on loan of Celta this summer.
Various Greek points of sale have dealt with the story, but Diario has now confirmed that Perez is not in a critical condition, despite various reports that claim as such. They have confirmed information from PrimeSport explaining that Perez was walking his dog when the incident took place.
Perez ran out of his own dog in the thermi area of Salonika, when another dog attacked his. The winger tried to intervene, but was given a series of injuries from the attacking dog, including serious cuts in the genital area. Perez was taken to the hospital and investigated in the aftermath. Since then he has returned after the operation was excluded, but his recovery will be closely observed in the coming days.
