Former striker of England Jermain Defoe has been hit with a fourth driving ban for speeding violations.
The former Prime Minister League star, 42, was extended a year after he was clocked in a 70 MPH zone at 82 MPH in October.
Defoe, who played 57 times before England, drove in a Land Rover in Wormley, Herts, JPS in St. Albans was told.
His lawyer said that the former Spurs Ace deserved the honor of owing guilty.
Defoe, who was not in court, received a fine of £ 660 plus £ 90 and a victim auction of £ 266.
He also received three points to add to the nine that are already on his license.
Earlier in July 2008, Defoe was banned from the road for speeding violations.
He received a ban on six months for the same violation the following year.
He later admitted that in May 2008 he was driving 45 km / h in a 30 MPH zone in Portsmouth.
He received another four points on his license.
