Ex-EPL star makes decision on UK return as he ‘tells Atalanta the ONE he wants’

Allegedly, a former Premier League attacker has made his position clear with regard to possible return to the English top flight.

Atalanta Star Breath Lookman confirmed last week in a statement that he submitted a transfer request, claiming that he is the victim of 'bad treatment' by the club, accusing them of 'months of broken promises'.

Lookman has been an important player for Atalanta since he was connected in 2022, with the attacker who reaches double digits for goals in the competition in each of his three seasons in the club.

He has been strongly associated with a move to Inter Milan, but there have been reports from Premier League interest, because Arsenal keeps an eye on the player.

However, Lookman is not interested in a return to England, because he insists on a transfer to Inter, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Nigerian has already agreed full personal conditions with the Nerazzurri, which does not pursue other attacking goals.

Intermanager Cristian Chivu has given priority to the signing of the former Leicester man and plans to change his formation to accommodate him.

LOOKMAN reportedly released his possessions from the training field of Atalanta and went into strike while forcing a switch to the Serie A -Rivalen of his team.

His Bombshell statement on Instagram was: “Countless clubs have been approached in the past and I have always remained loyal,” Lookman wrote.

'I and the ownership of the club, however, agree that it is now the right time and that the club was clear to me that if an honest offer came in, they would allow me to move.

'Despite the fact that he now receives an offer in coordination with what I think the club has unfortunately been discussed, the club blocks the chance for reasons I don't understand.

'As a result and after many months of broken promises and what I think there has been bad treatment towards me if both a person and as a professional football player, I unfortunately have the feeling that I have no choice but to express what I think is good and I think that is enough. I can confirm that I have now submitted a formal transfer request. '

The attempts by Lookman to force a movement came after Atalanta an offer of £ 39 million from Inter Milan.

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi confirmed that LOOKMAN can leave this summer, but emphasized that he would not be able to become a member of a Serie A -Rival.

Reports in Italy suggested that Lookman and Atalanta could take legal steps about the dispute.

Lookman, who was contracted until 2027, is said to be fined from the club if he does not attend the training for the third consecutive day.

In total, LOOKMAN scored 52 goals in 118 performances for Atalanta, including 20 times in 40 games last season.

Atalanta finished third last season, behind champions Napoli and Inter Milan, to guarantee the qualification of Champions League.
