Former football agent Jonathan Barnett is confronted with a series of serious allegations in the United States. Barnett and his former Bureau CAA have denied all allegations.
As reported by the Guardian, Barnett is charged in the civil court in California by a woman accusing him of rape, torture and human trafficking. The nameless woman claims that Barnett tortured her by keeping her sex slave as a sex slave, in which he raped her sexually abused, raped her more than 39 times and the life of her children and her own threatened.
The allegations say that the woman was traded from Australia to the United Kingdom in 2017, and that CAA (Creative Artists Agency) helped him to keep her like a sex slave.
Barnett and CAA have denied the claims and the first statement of the first statement of the 75-year-old.
“The claims made [the] Complaint to me has no basis in reality and are not true. We will strongly defend this lawsuit through the right legal process. I look forward to being completely justified and acquitted. “
CAA says that for the first time they became aware of the allegations in January 2024, a month before Barnett retired last year.
“Although the complaint tries to connect these allegations with CAA's activities, Mrs. Doe Never has been an employee, consultant or contractor of CAA, ICM or Stellar, nor has she had a business connection with CAA, ICM or Stellar,” they said.
The alleged victim claims that CAA was complicit by arranging accommodation and making her substantial payments between 2017 and 2023 and to say that they 'should have known'. They met Barnett for the first time in the nineties and reconnected in 2017 via LinkedIn.
The alleged victim then claims that Barnett encouraged her to move to London with the promise of a job, accommodation and education for her to children. When they met in a hotel in the British capital, Barnett would have raped her and began to make threats if she reported the incident.
