Ex-Man United star is brutally mocked by Rio Ferdinand and former team-mates for CRYING at Anfield

Rio Ferdinand has given a window on the continuous companionship between former Manchester United players in an interview with Nani.

The former Center-Back welcomed his old teammate on his Rio Ferdinand presents Podcast and opened the hilarity that runs through the stars of the Sir Alex Ferguson era. Among them include Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young.

In anticipation of his conversion with the former tricky wing player, Ferdinand asked questions for Nani in the WhatsApp group that they all share and he started his post with the iconic image of the Portuguese crying during a 2011 collision against Liverpool in Anfield.

“You know what I put in the group, Nani,” Ferdinand said before I burst. 'Nani, I put the photo of you on Anfield when you cried.

'Youngey [Ashley Young] Just return: “Why did Nani cry?” '

In the opinion of most spectators, Nani was fairly justified in shedding tears after he was at the end of a horror tail of Jamie Carragher who would certainly have earned a red card today.

The notorious Tackle took place during a Premier League in Anfield, who won the Reds 3-1, and saw Carragher books after a first half of Longe at the Portuguese winger.

The Studs Up Challenge left a huge gaping wound on Nani's shin and led to his replacement at the end of half when he was taken away on a stretcher.

Still, incredible, after they had initially told Nani by confronting Carragher, some of his teammates were soon not interested when they saw that Nani was crying about the incident.

Former Red Devil's defender Patrice Evra even remembered that the incident also left Ferguson who gave Nani time away from the club.

“Remember Anfield when Nani was tackled by Jamie Carragher?” Evra questioned the ex-England defender on his podcast five in 2023.

“I remember that he was slaughtered that he almost broke his leg. We started fighting with Liverpool players, Steven Gerrard, and then Scholsey [Paul Scholes] Came and he saw Nani crying. He said: “F *** that, let's go”.

“After that, Ferguson released him for two weeks because he says he had to recover from that because we were waiting for him because we didn't care in that team that we were ready to kill him.

“Because you know someone crying in Anfield … and even Ferguson, you remember that he said:” I hope your legs are broken f *****, I really hope your legs are broken “.

“Ferguson always wanted to kill Nani when he fell on the floor and said you can't be a united player and does that.”

Despite the cultural differences, Nani enjoyed a successful seven -year -old stay in Old Trafford and won four league titles, two leagueups and the Champions League.

Ferdinand added: 'This is what we used to love. Nobody took it badly, look at Nani, just laughing. This is what it was about, everyone in the training area laughing every day.

“But if you are on the field, it's serious.”
