Ex-Man Utd star Brandon Williams faces two years in jail for dangerous driving

Former Manchester United -defender Brandon Williams is confronted with a maximum of two years in prison after he has previously been tipped for star row.

Williams, 24, argued guilty of dangerous driving last week after he crashed his car at 99 km / h 'with a balloon in his mouth' while he was accompanied by a young woman in August 2023.

He is ready to learn his fate when he is convicted next month and could be sent to prison, which would be an important setback for his plans to revive his football career.

Williams was released by United last summer, but it was all so clear to him in his boy's club.

The full back burst on stage in the early stages of the 2019-2020 season when he made his debut for United as a teenager.

Within a few weeks he had attracted the attention of one of the largest full back of United ever, Gary Neville.

Famous for his never -theless attitude on the field, Neville liked Williams' tendency in his opening season and even joked about how far the young person would win.

After Williams played in the 1-0 FA Cup victory of United on Wolves in January 2020, Neville wrote on Twitter: 'I love Brandon Williams. What I specifically like about him is that he has that look in his eye of someone who would eat his opponents to win the game. Keep going, boy! Oh, he can also play football, which is always a bonus. '

Williams kicked up in the second half of the season and the much more experienced Luke Shaw kept out the team when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer put his confidence in him.

It was not long before the then-England boss Gareth Southgate sat up and noticed, who reportedly looked at Williams for a potential place in his Euro team the following year.

The 2020-21 season, however, did not go to plan because Williams lost his United Place to Shaw and struggled with injuries.

He did not succeed in breaking in in the English team and then missed the euros when the three lions went all the way to the final before they lost on penalties in Italy.

Williams was shipped to Norwich on loan prior to the 2021-22 season and played regularly, but the Canarian fabrics were relegated from the Premier League, and when he returned to United the following year, he was in the pecking order for a while.

A frustrating 12 months followed, before Williams returned to the spotlight when he called the United -legend Rio Ferdinand after Manchester City won the Treble.

Williams was apparently not impressed by the city that completed the performance 24 years after United and then focused on Ferdinand for the prizes on the side of Pep Guardiola.

“Nobody wants a sloppy seconds,” Williams posted on his Instagram story.

Then he tagged Ferdinand in a message that stated: '@riofdy5 bet you will not congratulate if you were [sic] Keep player [sic] The same morality. [Snoozing face emoji] at [sic] Face is boring. '

Williams fell to the championship last season and helped Ippswich promotion to the top flight, but he didn't make any team after New Year's Day.

His time at United came to an end last summer and now he is confronted with a frightening waiting to see if he will be sent to prison after a dramatic fall out of favor.
