Ex-MU star Young set for shock transfer after fairytale return falls through

Ashley Young is looking for a new club after leaving Everton, but a fairy -tale return to Watford has been continued, so that Ipswich has been able to dive into.

Ashley Young has emerged as a target for Ipswich if the winger, who recently left Everton, continues to watch a new club at the age of 40.

The ex-manchester United star was strongly connected to a move to Watford, the club where he started his career. The hornets were even willing to hand him the bracelet of the captain, but the switch eventually stood out because of wages.

Now Ipswich, who have the advantage of Premier League Parachute payments, are ready to dive into and add him to their team. Young has not been playing in the second level of English football for almost two decades, but will take the decision to set a competition to maintain his career, Talksport reports.

The tractor boys have just been banned and those who made an impression, such as Liam Delap, went on. Omari Hutchinson could follow him and Kieran McKenna tries to create a team that can bounce up immediately.

Young was part of the Watford team that was promoted from the championship via the play-offs in 2006. Ipswich and Watford go on November 4 on Portman Road, who could see the winger rising against his boys' club. The return match on Vicarage Road is at the end of February.

Young continued to contribute to the toffees in the past term, but with David Moyes at the helm, the decision has been made to participate. The veteran broad man became the oldest player in the history of Premier League to score a free kick when he won Everton against Wolves in December.

His first major movement came in 2007 when he left Watford and went to Aston Villa. For a number of years he made it impressed in Villa Park and was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson and spent nine years with the Manchester side, where he won the title. He later went to Inter Milan and had a second stint with villa.

The veteran has no plans to name it for a day and recently said: “It has been one of those things that I played so much this season. I feel so fit. I didn't feel as fit as I have done for years. I just want to keep playing, anyway, how it may not be ready to retire.

“I will certainly continue next season. In any way. I will not be younger. I will be 40 in July. I feel just as fit as when I was in the twenties. I will certainly continue. The statistics are there – I have played 31 times this season and I feel that I can continue.”
