Monterrey enjoys a solid start of the opening phase of the Liga MX Apertura 2025, but many have chosen the defense of the team as a big weak point. Rayados sent seven goals in five competition days and this led the criticism of Sergio Ramos in Mexico. The defender who has now played 22 games in the Rayados sweater is accused of worrying about the attacking side than on the defensive side of his game.

Next for Rayados and Ramos are three games that, at least on paper, seem relatively simple when they play Necaxa, Puebla and Querétaro.
