There are several two -division champions in the history of UFC, but there is only one Conor McGregor.
Since its turnout to the top, former UFC -Fedweight and the current UFC light weight champion Ilia Topuria have been many occasions compared to Conor McGregor.
With similar tattoos such as the Irish superstar, Topuria was followed in the footsteps of McGregor by stealing the belt of Alexander Volkanovski during a press conference, with 7-0 in the featherweight division before he wins the same titles with masterful knockouts.
After his UFC 317 knockout from Charles Oliveira, his third former/current champion in a row, the hard-handed Topuria was recommended to have an even higher ceiling than superstar McGregor.
However, a legendary lightweight says that McGregor has still defeated Topuria in one important area.

Frankie Edgar says that Ilia Topuria cannot talk like Conor McGregor
Years before Topuria entered the UFC, 'The Notorious' conquered the sport storm.
McGregor not only hit his opponents, but he called the round that he said he would do it. McGregor saw enormous popularity after he had eliminated a large Jose Aldo in 13 seconds for the fastest knockout in the history of the title fight.
McGregor is considered one of the best, if not, the best trash in MMA and sells millions of pay-per-views with his personality and antics.
On the topic Topuria, former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar said:
“There will never be another conor,” Edgar explained on the Champ and the Tramp podcast.
“That's my opinion. Only because it is not set up. Like, [McGregor] Did it already do it. That's why it's not going to happen anymore.
“Paddy looks more like Conor than Ilia is as Conor,” Edgar said about Paddy Pimblett.
“Because Ilia, he tries, he says some funny things. He is not as good as Conor. Conor's special guy. Chael Sonnen was special. If Chael he said, he would be by far the biggest star.
“Conor also talks about the F— Line, in my mind,” Edgar added.
Frankie Edgar admits that Ilia Topuria's haters have a point '
Topuria brought many doubts to silence with his Ko by Charles Oliveira on UFC 317, but there is still a constant story that the UFC champion competes against hunters who are beyond their Prime.
Edgar can now retire for almost three years where the criticism comes from.
“He realizes the hype,” Edgar said about Topuria.
“He says what he was going to do and go outside and do it.
“But there are always the people who will say some s – and hate him … and they also have a point,” Edgar continued.
“He beat a 36-year-old Volkanovski. He beat Holloway, coming off a hard ass weight cut because he's at 155, went back down to 145. Volk coming off a head kick knockout. And he just fought a 35, almost 36-year-old Oliveira. You know the stats, right, with the 35-year-old [curse]? “
The vast majority of hunters older than 35 years are losing the tendency to lose in UFC title Fights 170 pounds or lower.
