Manchester United has confronted a transfer dilemma, after Newcastle United showed a clear willingness to meet RB Leipzigs € 90 million appreciation for Benjamin Sesko.
From Tuesday morning it was assumed that the German club was satisfied with the offer – which made Man United with little time to make a rival bid.
The Old Trafford Club had identified Sesko as their primary striker on Ollie Watkins, in the conviction that he was both available and feasible at a reasonable price. The intention of Newcastle to rise to the requirements of Leipzig, complicated to bring that assessment – and United in a position where they should run the risk of going against their promise not to pay too much for talent.
Since Ineos took over control, there has been a conscious attempt to prevent a controversial transfer from missteps such as Jadon Sancho (whose transfer situation we have also covered), Antony and Rasmus Hojlund.
In those cases, United tried to negotiate, but in the end she paid inflated reimbursements after prolonged conversations.
United is supposed to measure Sesko's dedication, because they would only consider a major financial edition if they were convinced that he was fully invested in becoming a member of the club.

On Monday evening, however, it was generally suggested that Newcastle is making their first € 80 million offer – rise to € 90 million with ADD -Ons – based on signals that Sesko wants the move to St James' Park.
If the Red Devils miss Sesko, they can visit their interest in Watkins again – although a deal for the Aston Villa Vooruit would be a challenge and they have assessed which other strikers they can now turn.
It is also worth noting that Man United hopes to strengthen in other areas this summer, with midfield and goalkeeper Verstzurden part of the ideal recruitment plan of the club.
Spending almost € 90 million on a single player would almost certainly influence their ability to act elsewhere.
RB Leipzig has hoped the entire summer to generate a Premier League area war and are now ready to land a mega fee for their star attacker.
