
Crystal Palace Defender Ben Chilwell was fueled by a dream to play in the World Cup in 2026 under Thomas Tuchel, while earlier this season he only had to deal with them
Ben Chilwell has revealed that his goal to play for England at the World Cup cup led him to train alone when he was frozen in Chelsea. The left back of the on-Loan Crystal Palace wants to rejuvenate its season with the Eangles after he has not made a Premier League team for the blues.
The 28-year-old will stand in line on Saturday for Oliver Glasner against Fulham in the FA Cup quarterfinals. But Chilwell has only made one competitive start – against Millwall in the final round – since he played for England last year.

Speaking after the Millwall game, Chilwell said: “I want to come back to show everyone that I was left a top of world class, left wing back. I have the feeling that I have to prove things.
“Everyone has an ego in football and I am not going to shun it. I want to show everyone that I am as good as what I was when I won the Champions League.”
