Crystal Palace star Ebereechi Eze has been encouraged to reconsider a summer movement to Arsenal, in which former Gunners -defender Mikael Silvestre warns him a move to North London, may not be wise.
Arsenal is strongly connected to a movement for the 27-year-old, who is reportedly had a release clause of £ 68 million in his contract that expired on 1 August.
However, the club still has to make an offer for Eze, while they continue to weigh their options for the 2025/26 season.
Silvestre has since advised the English international to reject the chance of becoming a member of Arsenal, whereby the competition for places is quoted.
He said to Hajper: “Ebereechi to Arsenal? I don't think it would be good for him, to be honest, because there is a lot of competition and because he has so much joy and freedom in Crystal Palace.
“Going to Arsenal would, I think, be difficult because of the competition for places. But I really like him. Since his early days he has been great.
“It's a shame that he has had a lot of muscle injuries, and he missed some parts of the season. But when he is fit and ready, he is a top player.”
