Fabregas and Como set eyes on defender scouted by Brighton and Manchester City

Espanyol are not having the best season so far, but some of their players are still attracting the attention of interested parties. In addition to the candidates for Javi Puado, right back Omar El Hilali has also gathered scouts in the stands to see him.

The 21-year-old El Hilali won the starting spot at right-back during Espanyol's promotion last season and has remained their starter in La Liga, showing little fear of those around him. According to Diario AS, Italian side Como, managed by Barcelona-born Cesc Fabregas, recently sent scouts to watch El Hilali. Fabregas received positive reports about the Moroccan's solidity and ball-winning ability.

The Moroccan international is also being scouted by the likes of Brighton and Hove Albion and Manchester City. El Hilali also has a release clause of €15 million, making him relatively affordable for many top clubs. With Los Pericos in financial trouble, he may not be around for much longer.
