CESC Fabregas has told Dele Alli to 'continue to work' for his next chance of como after his nightmare debut.
In his press conference on Friday, Fabregas explicitly stated that he gives opportunities to those who 'train well and earn a place during the week', amid an impressive form of shape for the monied Italian Minnows that are now comfortably in the middle of the table.
Alli had the opportunity to train with the Serie A club before he officially arrived at their ranks in January. He appeared in more than two years against AC Milan in more than two years against AC Milan.
But his return ended after just 10 minutes when Como lost 2-1 to the Rossoneri. It is the only defeat that the men of Fabregas have suffered in their last seven games.
“I play those who train well and earn a place during the week,” Fabegas said reporters prior to their collision with Parma. 'Dele Alli must continue to work. He had his chance in Milan, but was sent away and was then injured.
'If the right moment comes, it will just come. [Anastasios] Douvikas has trained well and everyone is available except Sergi Roberto and Dossena. '
Before moving to Como, Alli spent two years with the Toffees, a term of office with a loan saying with Turkish outfit Besiktas in 2022-23.
In the last three seasons, he only made 18 professional performances, with his last for his como outing in February 2023 during his loan period with Besiktas.
At the beginning of 2024, the midfielder revealed that he had focused on a place at the 2026 World Cup with England while looking at a final return to international football.
Alli previously played as a regular Van England and played two years later on Euro 2016 and the World Cup in Russia, but is no longer visible since he made his 37th international appearance six years ago.
After his red card last month, the 29-year-old admitted that his disastrous debut 'not necessarily how I planned it', while he remained optimistic after making his comeback.
He also revealed a hilarious text exchange with Milan – midfielder Ruben Loftus -Cheek – whom he was fired for pollution – to whom he told: 'Pic looks bad, I just tried to cut your heel. When the referee went to VAR, I didn't even know it was for me. '
The former midfielder of Chelsea replied: 'Bro I had no idea. I stayed down because I was blowing. '
At the time, Fabregas had little sympathy for him and said to Dazn: 'Dele Alli is a player who can score goals. Perhaps he did not earn this chance because he only worked with us for two weeks and has much to improve.
'It's a serious mistake, a mistake that we should not see from a player of his experience.
“It was a clear red card, there is nothing to say about that, he left the team at 10 men at a crucial moment when we pushed 2-2.
“That is the most negative of this evening, but we will continue.”
