Fans all say the same thing as Mohamed Salah is spotted doing media work for Liverpool

Fans of Liverpool speculated about the future of Mohamed Salah after being seen with a camera crew in the city.

Salah, 32, is one of the largest players of Liverpool of all time, in which the Egyptian scored a remarkable 243 goals in 392 games for the club since he came to Roma in 2017 for an initial compensation of £ 36.5 million.

The attacker has won eight trophies in Anfield and remains an integral part on the side of Arne Slot while they close for the Premier League title.

Salah's contract, however, expires in the summer and he still has to extend his deal, with speculation about his future a constantly big conversation point – and the attacker has regularly given cryptic answers when he is questioned in his future.

Salah was able to talk to foreign clubs about a free transfer in the summer from January, while he is still connected to the Saudi Pro League.

And on Wednesday, an image of Salah was shared in his Liverpool -training equipment while he is surrounded by a camera crew, something that tongues waddled under fans.

One shared the photo and said, “This should be better for the new contract video of Salah that is being filmed.”

Another added: 'This image does rounds. Liverpool's media team. A happy Salah. Not at the AXA complex. Not on Anfield. Can it be? '

A further fan chimde inside with: 'Mo Salah filming at the harbor with all his Liverpool equipment on …, accompanied by the Eyes Emoji.

An extra fan came with a theory and said: “New contract because we would not waste the marketing budget with only 9 games left.”

However, others doubted the truthfulness of the photo with regard to a new contract announcement and was not convinced.

And Mail Sport understands that the viral shot has nothing to do with news about a potential new deal and earlier in relation to the usual broadcast tasks needed for a Premier League player.

Salah enjoyed a stunning season in 2024-25, with the 32-year-old 27 goals and adding 17 assists in just 29 Premier League matches.

During the campaign, however, he also dropped repeated hints about his future and how his time may end at Anfield.

In an interview with Sky Sports in January, Salah even stated that 'this is my last year' with Liverpool when he planned to leave with the Premier League title.

Elsewhere, in November, Salah shocked the football world when he publicly called the club for a lack of progress when offering a new deal.

The attacker held a rare interview with Mail Sport and a small group of other reporters after scoring twice in the 3-2 victory in Southampton, where he said he was 'more out than in'.

Salah has tackled his contract setup: 'We are almost in December and I have not yet received any offers to stay in the club.

'I am probably more out than in. You know that I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it's not in my hands. Like I said, it's December and I haven't received anything about my future yet.

“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the hands of the fans. '

In the meantime, in the aftermath of the 2-0 victory of Liverpool against Man City in December in which the attacker scored and added an assist, Salah again hinted that he was on his way to the club.

“It's very special,” the 32-year-old explained. “I said earlier, I don't take it for granted. I enjoy every minute here.

“It feels like home. So yes, it's a special feeling. It is always to score at Anfield and to win games.

'Of course, to be honest, in my head it was as if this is my problem, so far, the last city game that I play for Liverpool, so I'm just going to enjoy it.

'The atmosphere was incredible, so I enjoy every second here. And yes, we finally just (hopefully) win the competition and see what will happen. '

The Reds are currently nine points clearly at the top of the Premier League and can go 12 points ahead of Arsenal if they beat Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday evening.
