Fans all saying the same thing about Arsenal pre-match display ahead of huge Champions League tie against Real Madrid

Football fans were quickly given their opinion about the pre-match display of Arsenal prior to the Champions League-equal game against Real Madrid at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The side of Mikel Arteta chose to mark their first match against the Spanish giants in 19 years with a light show, pyrotechnics, colored displays and tifos before the kick -off.

One display was formed with the help of recyclable memorial plastic bags that were placed under any home seat in the Emirates Stadium, which follows supporters above their heads when the players entered the field from the tunnel.

Banners were also shown in both the East Stand and Clock End areas of the stadium before the competition started.

Responding to the incident on X, formerly Twitter, people were quickly their say, but with mixed views on procedures.

A user wrote: “Wow wow wow the light show”.

A second added: 'Arsenal makes a light show'.

A third added: 'Arsenal has become really big for the shows for the competition. They have had a light show, Fandisplays and also played their 'North London Forever' national anthem.

“It really has the crowd going. The display in the home side is from that famous Thierry Henry goal in the Bernabeu Stadium. '

It marked the first time that the two teams have had to do since the Gunners became the very first English team that won at the Bernabeu in February 2006, thanks to a beautiful solo goal from Thierry Henry.

They then went to the quarterfinals after they had held loose blancos against a 0-0-drawing game at Highbury in the return bone.

After beating Juventus and Villarreal, they suffered a heartache in the final against Barcelona and fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat in Paris.

That remains their only appearance in a Champions League final, which means that for the first time they are still looking for the largest prize in European football.

Real, on the other hand, has dominated the competition in recent decade and has won six Champions League titles since 2014.

That included an unprecedented three titles in a row from 2016 to 2018 when Zinedine Zidane was their manager.

They are also the current Champions League holders, who defeated Borussia Dortmund in last year's final at Wembley.
