The middleweight champion of the UFC has emerged as one of the most ruthless trash can in sport.
Dricus Du Plessis has built up a reputation for the provision of some destructive comments during UFC press conferences that his opponents have reached.
Although he has stated that he is not in these fairs with the intention of coming under the skin of his opponent, the South African seems to have a natural talent to do that exactly.

Dricus Du Plessis fiercely followed his opponent in EFC by raising his personal life
As we have seen during his rivalry with people like Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya, Dricus Du Plessis has no problem making things personally prior to a fight.
Although some fans in the past have criticized the middleweight champion for his pre-combat reactions that can certainly be divided, others have praised his ruthlessness on the microphone.
There is another remarkable example of before he was in the UFC, where the South African served some destructive personal comments to his opponent.
Before he signed KSW in 2018, Du Plessis fought and won the EFC Middleweight title in his home country.
On EFC 62 he stood opposite Yannick Bahati, where he attacked the personal life of his opponent in the press conference before the fight.
“Well, maybe you can give me some attention. I have viewed that countdown show, of course your own son has not received too much attention. Your own son has not received too much attention, so maybe you can give me some attention.”
When Du Plessis was asked to say it again by his opponent, he was more than happy to oblige.
“Maybe you can be a better father for me than your own son. That would be great.”

Although it took some time before fans saw this side of Dricus du Plessis in the UFC, this press conference shows that he has never been afraid to go after his opponents with verbal warfare.
As you would expect from such a personal attack, the comments clearly poured his opponent, who would be submitted by 'Stillnocks' within 90 seconds.
