In July, the UFC awarded a fight of the night bonus for every event that has set up the promotion.
For many fans, the determining match of the month is probably the UFC 318 headliner where Max Holloway Dustin Poirier beat to defend the BMF title.
The two men went back and forth in a suitable conclusion of their trilogy that also marked the end of the road for 'The Diamond' after an incredible career.
To the great annoyance of Holloway, however, they did not receive the fight of the night bonus and as the UFC recently revealed, they were also not the fight of the promotion of the month.
That prize went to a somewhat surprising selection in which a number of fans confused after it was announced.

Fans respond to UFC who calls Shara Magomedov's victory over Marc-Andre Barriault as the fight of the month
After UFC 318, many fans were surprised to see Max Holloway's victory over Dustin Poirier nor the chaotic fight between Daniel Rodriguez and Kevin Holland earned the bonus after the fight.
The victory of Brendan Allen over Marvin Vettori earned both men the fight of the night bonus, but even that matchup did not earn the Fight of the Month Award.
Instead, the UFC went with a main map matchup of the recent return of the promotion to Abu Dhabi, where Shara Magomedov conquered some adversity to defeat Marc-Andre Barriault.
Even when I looked at that map, some argue why other fights on the map deserved more, or argued that there should have been four performance of the night winners instead.
Fans expressed their response to this announcement of the UFC through the answers to the post post.
“Nobody says. Barriault looked like a complete failure of a hunter. UFC lost in the sauce, already forgot actual fighting battles that have taken place…. shame.'

The battle of the month of June is perhaps the consensus choice for the best fight of the year so far
In June there was much less discussion about which collision would be mentioned as the battle of the UFC of the month.
Joshua van and Brandon Royval produced what many fans believe that the best fight of the year is so far when they threw the sink at each other at UFC 317 in Las Vegas.
While some fans argue for the UFC Baku matchup between Nazim Sadykhov and Nikolas Motta, there would only be one winner, even though it can also be a battle of the year.
