Fans flood airport as Max Holloway arrives in South Korea to help UFC legend he knocked out

Max Holloway got a wild welcome when he touched in South Korea on Sunday.

The former champion of the UFC Vederweight has traveled to East Asia to help one of his ancient rivals evaluate aspiring hunters who hope to earn a place at an upcoming MMA event that he promotes.

'Blessed' sent Jung Chan-Sung-Algemagen known as 'The Korean zombie' two years ago retired.

Max Holloway scored an epic knockout on the face plant when in August 2023 she collided with UFC Singapore, but he won new fans in South Korea by expressing respect to the greatest legend of the country during his interview after the fight.

Holloway was met at the airport by 'the Korean zombie' who brought his former opponent some flowers.

The Hawaiian was also greeted by hundreds of fans who packed the airport to get a glimpse of him.

Cameras flashed and people screamed when Holloway made a rock -like access to the country.

Holloway was overwhelmed by the ovation he received, as well as UFC fans who saw images of it.

“That's so great,” said a fan. While another added: “This is so dope.”

“Pure class of both. Legends are legends,” someone else noticed.

“Healthy,” a fourth fan added.

“You like to see it,” someone else said.

“Insane,” wrote a bewildered X user.

What is the next step for Max Holloway?

Holloway has not fought anymore since he was eliminated by Ilia Topuria in the third round of their featherweight title collision on UFC 308 last October.

After the fight, the 33-year-old confirmed that he will make a permanent switch to the 155LB division.

There have been rumors about a BMF trilogy fight with lightweight legend Dustin Poirier for weeks.

News from Poirier vs Holloway 3 was leaked for the first time last month. Yet there has been no official announcement from the UFC about what 'the diamond' on it is the last fight of his MMA career.

Fans are impatiently waiting for UFC boss Dana White to make the long -awaited fighting officer.
