Speculation about the next fight by Ilia Topuria has gone in overdrive in recent weeks.
The Feedweight Champion recently rejected his belt and announced a switch to lightweight.
'La Leyenda' has since claimed that he was promised an immediate chance at the champion of the division, Islam Makhachev, which is generally considered the best pound-for-pound hunter in MMA.
However, there had been no official update of Ilia Topuria of the powers at BE.

Confirmed the next opponent of Ilia Topuria?
Before Lerone Murphy was booed from the Octagon after his main event won at Josh Emmett at UFC Vegas 105, the Spanish broadcaster of the promotion made an announcement about the next fight of Topuria.
It said: “Ilia Topuria goes up in weight class and is confronted with Charles Oliveira. The Spaniard will make his lightweight debut.”
An image of the announcement soon became viral when excited fans responded to the news.
However, it was quickly closed as a 'error' by the UFC via MMA journalist Alex Behunin.
“I was told by the promotion that this is not true and was a mistake,” he tweeted next to the screenshot.
Fans respond to Ilia Topuria vs Charles Oliveira 'Lek'
Topuria and Oliveira have insulted via social media in recent weeks.
Topuria was recently joined the former lightweight champion for losing Cub Swanson.
It is certainly a matchup that makes sense. So, despite a respected journalist who insists that the fight is not happening, MMA fans are still enthusiastic about looking at Topuria and Oliveira in a few months.
“Ilia by Sub,” a fan predicted. While someone else asked, “You really have to wonder how they make these mistakes?”
“Seems like a chance announcement instead of just fake news fun,” a third person added.
“That is a very big and daring mistake that would be difficult to just release by accident,” someone else was full.
“It was meant to be posted next weekend. As soon as the belt is officially empty. They will announce this fight,” theoretized a fifth X user.
“Wrong info,” Behunin added, doubled by its original post.
