Fans laugh at Arsenal after the UEFA rankings have placed them behind Manchester United.
The Gunners were short of silverware for the third season in a row, while the Red Devils had their worst campaign in modern history.
After he crashed the Champions League to the final winners PSG, Mikel Arteta claimed that his team is the “best in Europe”.
But the coefficient liga table does not agree and even has Arsenal under Crisis Club United.
The rankings take into account the performance of each party in the Champions, Europe and Conference Leagues in the past five years and it is used for sowing.
Arsenal is 12th General with 98 points and Man Utd is 11th at 102.5.
The run from North London people to the semi-final of the Champions League this season earned them 36 points.
But their score is hindered by not appearing on the continent in 2020/21 and losing the following year in the Europa League Last-16 against Sporting Lisbon.
While the performance of United in the five -year period have been more stable, with every season.
Although victories in the Europe are less valuable than the Champions League, two second place and a run to the quarterfinals are sufficient to support them just above Arsenal.
And fans have mocked the Gunners, with one who said, “As if the best team in Europe is not even the top ten.”
Another laughed: “Chelsea is still running for Arsenal despite playing Champions League for two seasons.”
A third said: “This cannot be correct, the best club in the world that Arsenal is not. They told me all year round that they are the best the world ever has seen. Forget the trophies.”
The updated rankings have Real Madrid at the top of 143.5, closely ahead of the 137.75 of Manchester City.
PSG's Champions League victory earned them 33.5 and rocket them to the fifth.
Chelsea received 30 from their League Glory conference and they can still count on the 33 of Champions League success under Thomas Tuchel four years ago.
Outside the upper spots – Tottenham are 27th, West Ham are 29th and Aston Villa Place 46th.
