Fans spot Marcus Rashford’s reaction to Man United penalty defeat as star goes incognito at FA Youth Cup semi-final

Fans with eagle eyes saw Marcus Rashford in the stands in Villa Park for the FA Youth Cup semi -final on Monday evening.

Rashford wore a hoodie and leaned back in his chair, was recorded on a video recorded by a supporter at the end of the game.

The attacker, on loan from Manchester United in Villa, saw the youngsters go for his parent club and loan side Teen-Tot toe.

He kept a low profile, but could be seen to make a fast exit second after United was defeated on penalties.

While others got around him to cheer the victory for the hosts, Rashford, a fan of the Boyhood United, chose to slip away.

One night where Sir Alex Ferguson also looked at the stadium, it was ultimately a disappointing end for the visitors.

Villa made a dream start via Trai-Varn Mulley in the fourth minute before United pulled one when James Scanlon converted up close.

Neither of the two parties could find a winner and Spot Kicks decided the game, with United only scored one of their four.

The final is back in Villa Park on April 10 and Man City of Watford will stand in line against the Midlands outfit.

In the meantime, Rashford finds another form on loan and scores twice for Villa in their FA Cup victory at Preston on the weekend.

Started for England under Thomas Tuchel in the recent World Cup qualifications against Latvia and Albania, Momentum is building for the 27-year-old.

He will probably play a key role for the men of Unai Emery in the Champions League and push in the top five this season.

But it is still to see whether the club will make the opportunity to buy it this summer or whether Ruben Amorim regards him as part of his plans.

The manager was cautious about the subject when he was asked about it on Monday.

He said: 'We have a lot of games to play and I am focused on my team and my players and Marcus is currently not my player.

“But every player who performs well on loan is good news for my club, so I'm happy with that.”

The next Rashford outing will be on Wednesday evening when Villa takes on Brighton and they can move to sixth with a victory, the seagulls jump into the process.
