FC Copenhagen fans encourage Danish Cup final boycott in venue-protest

The atmosphere of the Danish Cup final that is played in Herning on Thursday probably cannot live up to what you normally expect from a cup final – at least until the 20th minute.

FC Copenhagen fans encourage all supporters to remain silent within the first twenty minutes of the game in a protest against the fact that the game is planned in MCH Arena in Herning.

“The fact that the Cup final will take place in the seventh largest stadium in the country, is in stark contrast to the explanation of the organizers that the Cup -final should be the largest football party in the country. It is not a football party, when you prevent tens of thousands of fans in the stadium in the stadium,” say the Supporters in a statement of Facebook.

The cup final would originally take place in the Brondby Stadium, but due to safety problems it was decided to move the final to Herning.
