Allegedly, Rio Ferdinand is ready to work with Manchester United in a surprising new role for the coming months.
The former United Defender left in May of his Punditry role with TNT Sports after more than a decade of service.
During the club's tour through the United States this summer, the 46-year-old was involved in media and commercial content.
That included keeping a Tour Dagbook, documenting his travels through New York and Chicago and sharing his thoughts about the team's performances.
He also played on the camera in player interviews and helped with MatchDay content as part of a short-term agreement.
According to the sun, Ferdinand will 'probably' continue to work with them freelance -based in a similar capacity in the coming months.
The same applies to Gary Neville, although he will have his constant commitment to Sky Sports.
In the meantime, Gareth Bale has joined TNT sports as a replacement for Ferdinand, according to the Guardian.
Bale will collaborate with the broadcaster in their Premier League and Champions League cover for the 2025-26 campaign.
The former Tottenham, Real Madrid and Wales Star already baptized his toe in Punditry for a handful of competitions last season.
He made his 'debut' for TNT sports in the Champions League when Liverpool defeated Real Madrid 2-0 and also took a microphone in the Europa League final between Spurs and Manchester United.
Bale was also involved in the reporting of Dazn and Channel 5 about the World Cup Club.
Speaking of his TNT sports outlet earlier this season, Ferdinand said: 'Since it retired from football, it has been a privilege about the game I have been looking for for ten years for sports fans who watch BT Sport and TNT Sports.

There were reports that he was planning to move to Dubai with his wife Kate Ferdinand and their family.
