Bruno Fernandes has posted a cryptic message on Instagram in the midst of assembly speculation about a potential mega money switch to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
The Captain of Manchester United, who just led the club during a tour after the season through Asia, shared an Instagram story on Saturday afternoon that reads in his native Portuguese: 'Whatever happens, happens for a reason. Trust the process. '
The post came only a few days after his agent, Miguel Pinho, had face-to-face conversations with Al-Hilal officials in the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, in what was described by sources as a 'positive' meeting.
Earlier this week it appeared that Fernandes had received a 72-hour deadline to respond to the last 'Take It of Leave It' offer from Al-Hilal.
That deadline has now passed, but the outcome remains unclear.
Al-Hilal is said to have offered Fernandes a stunning financial package worth a maximum of £ 200 million over three years, including bonuses.
As part of the deal, the Saudi giants are prepared to be the current weekly wage of £ 280,000 from Fernandes to a tax -free sum of £ 700,000.
If the 30-year-old green light gives, the Saudi club is expected to submit a formal bid in the £ 100 million region to United, who will remain insisting that they do not want to sell.
