Barcelona are well on their way to securing themselves as one of the top eight sides in the Champions League so far, which would guarantee an immediate passage to the last 16 of the competition. They defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2 after a mighty battle at Signal Iduma Park.
Barcelona had the better of the game in the first half, although they were unable to get through. It made little difference, however, as they broke the deadlock just eight minutes into the second period when Raphinha raced through before firing past Gregor Kobel.
The visitors could not hold on to the lead for long, as Dortmund forced the equalizer on the hour mark. Pau Cubarsi inexplicably conceded a penalty, which was converted by Serhou Guirassy.
Ferran Torres was introduced by Flick in the 71st minute and not long after he scored to restore Barcelona's lead. However, it was waived when Guirassy found his second of the evening.
Barcelona were not to be denied, and Ferran scored again late on – and it was the winner. It is a result that sees them rise to second place in the league stage standings.
