Bayern Munich has confirmed the news that Alphonso Davies will miss the rest of the season with a serious knee injury who has arrested a problem while she has international service with Canada
FIFA could be forced to pay to Bayern Munich after the injury bomb of Alphonso Davies. The defender is excluded for the rest of the season after picking up a serious knee injury while they have international service at Canada.
Davies was injured earlier this month during the Concacaf Nations League victory of Canada against the United States. And it was revealed that he had torn his ACL.
The news left Chiefs at the German Giants Furious, who focused on Canada and accused the nation of negligence. “We demand a full investigation into the events of Canada Soccer and explicitly reserve the right to take legal action,” said Bayern-Chief Executive Jan-Christian Dreesen earlier this week.
“Sending a clearly injured player with a damaged knee on a 12-hour intercontinental flight without a thorough medical assessment is in our opinion roughly negligent and a clear violation of the medical duty of care,” Dreesen added. “The participation of Davies, who already had muscle problems before the match, in a match of no sporting meaning is incomprehensible from our point our opinion.”
And it now seems that FIFA will pay the reimbursement of Bayern Munich in the midst of their anger. According to Sport1, the organizers of the game have a club protection program to compensate for clubs if they lose a player on international service.
It is calculated on the basis of the wage of each player, with the maximum payout € 7.5 million (£ 6.2 million). Bayern sports director Christoph Freund also focused on the Canadian federation because he did not restore the injury.
“He is the captain, a young man who wanted to help his team, but it was borderline,” he said. “The second problem is the injury after 12 minutes. Then Fonzy [Alphonso] Fies back on a 12-hour flight and we all assume that it is not serious injury, but then we have this.

“That is sloppy. It is not professional and we have to talk and clean it up. We are the employers, we pay the players, so we will look at what happened.”
Davies, 24, had made 31 performances for Bayern Munich during the campaign and scored three times. His future looked more uncertain, with his contract that ended this summer, although he signed a new deal in the Allianz Arena.
His Bayern teammate Harry Kane had supported him support after the news of his seasonal injury. He wrote on Instagram: “We are all behind your @alphonsodavies. Undoubtedly you come back from this injury that is stronger than ever.”
