Antonio Rudiger was reportedly racially abused during the victory of Real Madrid's Club World Cup on the Mexican side Pachuca on Sunday, said manager Xabi Alonso.
Alonso confirmed that a complaint had been filed after an incident by the end of the 3-1 victory of the Spanish giants in Charlotte.
Rudiger was bumping into an injury -time with Pachuca Captain Gustavo Cabral, but it was not clear whether the alleged abuse of a player or someone came into the crowd.
“That is a bit more rudiger, and we believe him,” Alonso said reporters in his press conference after the game. “It is important to have zero tolerance in situations like this. FIFA is investigating now. That is all I can say.”
FIFA, the world administration and tournament organizer, did not comment, but referee Ramon Abatti had looked over his arms over each other, indicating the activation of the anti-racism protocol.
