FIFA slash ticket prices for Chelsea’s Club World Cup quarter-final clash

Tickets for Chelsea's Club World Cup Quarterfinal showdown with Palmeiras have been reduced to just $ 11.15 (£ 8.17) in the midst of fear of a no-show supporter.

The dramatic decrease in the asking price comes with this competition in Philadelphia, which starts at 9 p.m. local time and falls on the Independence Day in the United States.

Ticketmaster is the official FIFA sales portal for this tournament and tickets are now halved from their original appreciation, which was already low at $ 22.30 (£ 16.35).

FIFA has publicly praised the interest in the Gianni Infantino tournament and announced that two million supporters have attended races in the US in recent weeks.

However, some empty grandstands have been a source of shame, even if Real Madrid has not sold out such problems here because of their popularity.

Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira had used on July 4 as a rally crying for the locals in his press conference and invited them to support them against 'the English'.

If Chelsea could win against the Brazilian side, they would continue to New York to face Fluminense or Al-Hilal in the semi-final.
