Fighter walks out of arena in tears after split decision goes against him at UFC Vegas 109

UFC Bantamweight Miles Johns had never experienced back-to-back losses.

There were only a few decisions about the Action-on-board UFC Vegas 109 event of the Crowdless UFC Apex on Saturday evening.

Middle weights Anthony Hernandez and Roman Dolidze headed a 12-field card, full of finishes, from a punch knockouts in the middle of the Octagon to Elia Smith's 'Rampage' Jackson Style SLAM Ko.

A main card bolt ended in controversy after UFC veteran Miles 'Chapo' Johns did not get a competitive fight.

Johns was not at all happy with the result.

Johns fell to 15-4 with a split loss of decision for Jean Matsumoto (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

Johns was surpassed by Matsumoto by 20 strikes, but scored five Takedowns over three rounds with more than three minutes of control time, with some fans believing that he had done enough to win the victory.

Johns apparently thought too, went to his knees and held his head unbelieving.

Jean Matsumoto calls on Rob Font, who just defeated him months ago

The 17-1 Jean Matsumoto would like to avenge his only pro-loss.

The Brazilian suffered his first setback in the Octagon in UFC Seattle in February, when he was on the other side of a split decision against multi -year Bantamweight candidate Rob Font.

Font squeaked the victory after three rounds and defeated Matsumoto in a narrow game.

Months removed from the fight and back in the win-column, Matsumoto called on the font for a rematch on UFC Rio on 11 October in his interview after the fight.
