Fiorentina clash with Inter Milan abandoned as Bove collapses on pitch
Bove is now in intensive care in the hospital.
A club statement read: “He arrived at the emergency room in stable haemodynamic conditions and initial cardiological and neurological tests performed have ruled out acute damage to the central nervous and cardio-respiratory systems.”
Bove, on loan from Roma, suddenly collapsed after 16 minutes, with both groups of players quickly urging the medical staff to attend.
Inter president Giuseppe Marotta told Sky Italia: “Inter and the entire football world express their solidarity with the Bove family and Fiorentina.
“The decision to postpone the match was spontaneous from everyone. We are a community, all the players and even the referee were emotionally involved. We hope it is nothing serious.”
