A new documentary about Jurgen Klopp promises 'unprecedented' footage of his final months as Liverpool manager.
Doubters to Believers Liverpool FC: Klopp's Era, a four-part series, launches on Amazon Prime on February 28 – with the first trailer released on Tuesday.
In it, Klopp, who gave his first press conference as Red Bull's new head of football last week, says: 'You never stop or you stop too late. It's easy to fall in love with this place, you are part of a family. “
A number of players, including Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold, also feature in the preview, with never-before-seen footage from the club's training ground.
The production company behind the documentary, Lorton Entertainment, previously worked on Asif Kapadia's critically acclaimed documentary about Diego Maradona and the cult film Bros: After the Screaming Stops.
Amazon said of the documentary: “The four-part series tells the complete story of Liverpool FC's journey back to the top of world football, featuring interviews with key club figures such as Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Pep Lijnders, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Jayden Danns, plus plenty of time with Klopp during and after his final season in charge.
“Further contributors include former players such as Jamie Carragher and Adam Lallana, as well as key figures who have followed Jurgen Klopp's career, including respected German author and journalist Raphael Honigstein.
“The series charts the impact Klopp had on the team and supporters from day one. Each episode moves back and forth through time, highlighting the club's progress under the German boss.
“Relive how the Reds won the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions League trophy in just four years, cementing Klopp's place in LFC folklore and following in the footsteps of iconic managers such as Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley.
“Following the shock announcement of his mid-season sacking, Klopp can be seen up close and personal – with his first-team squad filmed in unprecedented detail – during his action-packed final campaign. A season that saw the club challenged on all four fronts, alongside the emergence of new and exciting LFC Academy talent.”
